Dear MHS Students, Parents, and Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to the 2016-2017 school year. The administration and staff are eagerly awaiting your return and are looking forward to a tremendous year.
My name is Mr. Miller and I will be your new principal this year. I have been working with Mr. Sherman, some of the faculty, and Ms. Lewis for the past two weeks getting things ready for the school year. The new school is awesome and I know that all of you will have a school that you can be really proud of.
As I mentioned above, I will be the principal this year, and Mr. Sherman will return as assistant principal. I was fortunate to be able to meet with some of the student government students yesterday and was impressed with their ideas and maturity.
All students will report to the gym on the first day by 8:00 am. At that point, we will get you to your LINKS classes where you will cover the student handbook. We sent a school messenger out that indicated that 9th and 11th grade students may pick up their schedules on Tuesday, 8-9-16, and also make any needed changes that day. On Wednesday, 8-10-16, 10th and 12th grade students may pick up their schedules and make any needed changes. Also on the 10th of August students may purchase parking permits. The cost of these permits will be $30.00. We are having these days to make changes so that the first day of school will not be used for this. Please be here on the days for changes if you need to make any.
In closing, we hope that you enjoy the rest of your summer, and are looking forward to returning for an excellent school year.
